A bright red mount is used for the base of this piece. Highlighting the central image of a woman kneeling on the floor while looking behind her at the viewer.
To offset the lack of colour within the image (it is black and white) I have used startingly bright colours to surround it. Due to the close use of colour it takes the viewer close adjustment with their eyes to disntinct the red from the bright pink tube as there is a hole in the middle of the pink circle.
The inner circle is not perfectly cut as when using your hands it can be tricky to get the perfect cut with a pair of scissors however that is what makes the piece more real and original.
