A departure from my signature style. This piece began with colour and the idea of building blocks.
I began with the colours red, pink and purple. Cutting pieces of paper and laying them as the background.
The three images used in the piece especially the central figure is soft and covered in light pink. I wanted the piece to make the viewer question what the piece means?
The image on the upper right hand corner looks fierce and her heel points to the neck of the woman in pink.
The woman appears to be giving in to the threat hence the name of the piece. The piece while full of pink has subtle dark undertones.
