I absolutely adore this piece. It picks up on the nuances of colour used in the striped lines. The central figure looks longingly out while holding a single flower.
Her red lips give the piece its central colour. Red the colour of love, danger and fire. While this image is quite romantic in tone there is something feisty and unsettling about it.
The lines leading out from the blue circle from her head echoes the slight blue pattern on the red lined paper when looked at closely.
A circle of glitter gold behind her head also gives the piece more layers.
